Atlas

Atlas Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 3, 2026

Atlas is an iPhone strength-training tracker. Train, Reflect, History, Settings, export, and restore work without an account. Atlas Social is optional and uses an account only when you choose to connect, join a Team, or mirror workouts for sharing.

Summary

Atlas does not sell personal data, show advertising, use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs, or track people across apps or websites. Local workout logging remains usable without an account. If you enable Atlas Social, the limited account, fitness, connection, Team, and safety data described below is transmitted to Atlas's service provider so Social can function.

Data Kept On Your Device

Atlas stores workout sessions, exercises, sets, weights, reps, set types, rest timing, workout notes, body-weight preferences, training-math settings, optional Bluetooth heart-rate samples, and export settings locally on your device. Local data is used for logging, history, progress review, muscle-volume analysis, export, restore, and workout heart-rate analytics.

Workout notes, body mass, heart-rate data, Apple Health data, external Health identifiers, and device metadata are not included in Atlas Social. Bluetooth sensor use is optional, and you control any manual export destination through Apple's share sheet or document picker.

Optional Atlas Social Data

When you create or use an Atlas Social account, Atlas may collect and link these categories to that account for app functionality:

Your Sharing Choices

The owner can read the full cloud copy of a workout. Other people receive only the audience and detail level selected for that workout:

Blocking removes both accounts' visibility into one another's Social content, including content otherwise shared through a Team. Structured Social text is screened before posting, and shared accounts or workouts can be reported for review.

Authentication And Service Providers

Atlas uses Supabase to provide authentication, database hosting, and authorization enforcement for Atlas Social. Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In are optional authentication methods; those providers process sign-in information under their own terms and privacy policies. Atlas receives the identity information needed to create and secure the Atlas account and does not receive an Apple ID or Google password.

Data may be processed where these providers operate. Atlas requires service providers to use the data only to operate and secure the requested functionality.

Export And Restore

Atlas includes manual export and restore tools so you can keep a copy of your workout data. If you choose to export data, iOS presents sharing or document-picker controls and you decide where the files go. Atlas may also mirror exports to a folder you choose through the iOS document picker if you enable automatic export.

Retention And Deletion

Local workout data remains on the device until you delete workouts, restore different data, or remove the app and its data. Cloud workout mirrors update or delete when their corresponding local workouts and sharing settings are changed and Social synchronizes.

You can delete the entire cloud account inside Atlas at Social → Manage Social privacy & account → Delete cloud account. This removes the authentication record, profile, connection and Team records, goals created by the account, reports submitted by the account, and cloud workout mirror from the active service. References to a deleted account in reports submitted by somebody else are unlinked. Provider backups may retain encrypted copies temporarily until their normal backup-retention cycle expires. Deleting the cloud account does not delete the independent workout archive stored on the iPhone; local workouts can be removed separately in Atlas.

Security

Atlas uses encrypted HTTPS connections, account-scoped authorization, database row-level security, atomic workout updates, and account-scoped offline queues. No Internet service can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but Atlas is designed to minimize collected data and prevent unauthorized cross-account access.

Tracking, Advertising, And Data Sales

Atlas does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. Atlas has no ads and does not sell data to advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties. Social data is used only for account authentication, app functionality, safety, fraud prevention, and service security.

Apple Health

The current build does not use HealthKit or request Apple Health permission. If that changes, Atlas will ask for permission in context and update this policy and its App Store privacy information before collecting data.

Children

Atlas is not directed to children under 13. People under 13 may use the local, account-free workout tracker under the supervision of a parent or guardian, but they may not create or use Atlas Social accounts.

Medical Disclaimer

Atlas is for fitness tracking and training review only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Consult a qualified professional before making medical decisions.

Changes And Contact

This policy may be updated as Atlas changes. The effective date above identifies the latest version. For privacy, safety, or support questions, use the Atlas support page. The rules for Social participation are available in the Atlas Community Standards.
